CHS Contracting ("CHS Contracting," "we," "us") is a landscaping and outdoor living contractor serving Charleston, SC. This policy explains what information we collect from customers and website visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you request an estimate, book service, or contact us: your name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about the work you want done. If you contact us through the website form, by phone, or by text message, we keep a record of that communication so we can follow up on your project.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide our services: preparing estimates, scheduling and confirming appointments, performing and invoicing the work, responding to your questions, and following up after a completed job, including asking how we did and inviting you to leave a review. If you allow optional advertising measurement, we also use the limited website activity described below to understand how our ads perform.

Campaign and Source Measurement

When you arrive through a tagged link, we keep its campaign and source labels (UTM fields) in your browser tab's session storage. If you submit an estimate request, we send those labels and the page URL with your request to CHS Contracting to identify which link brought the inquiry. This is separate from optional OpenAI advertising measurement. These UTM labels are not automatically sent to OpenAI.

Optional Advertising Measurement

If you select Allow in our advertising measurement notice, we send page visits and successful estimate-request events to OpenAI to measure our ChatGPT ads. These requests include the event type, an event identifier, our website origin, and an OpenAI ad-click reference when available. Like other internet requests, OpenAI also receives technical information such as your IP address and browser information. We do not send form contents, names, phone numbers, email addresses, or project details through this integration, and we do not use automatic contact matching.

We remember your measurement choice in your browser. If you allow measurement, we may store the OpenAI ad-click reference in a first-party cookie for up to 30 days. You can decline and still use every part of our website, including requesting an estimate. Use Advertising choices in the footer to change your choice. Declining stops future OpenAI measurement events and removes our ad-reference cookie. We also honor your browser's Global Privacy Control signal for this integration. Advertising measurement consent is separate from text-message consent.

Text Messaging and Mobile Information

If you provide your mobile number when requesting or booking service, you agree that CHS Contracting may send you text messages about your project: appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, and a review request after the work is complete. Message frequency varies with your service activity. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We use a messaging platform solely to deliver our own messages to you; it may not use your number for any other purpose.

How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, our scheduling, invoicing, and messaging platforms), and only so they can perform those services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention and Security

We keep customer records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and accounting requirements. We take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Your Choices

You may ask us at any time to update or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing office@chscontracting.com or calling 843-998-2275.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
